SAB Book Launch

A few weeks ago, we were thrilled to host the San Francisco launch of SouthAsian Bride Magazine’s coffee table book, Wedding Inspirations 2012 at Jade Studio Productions‘ fabulous studio location in Treasure Island. The book is a beautiful and in-depth collection of stunning work by brilliant event coordinators, designers, florists, photographers, lighting specialists and other vendors who make each and every wedding so unique and special. Not only did a few images of our work make it in there, but our styled shoot made it to the prestigious cover!

Working with a talented team of vendors, we designed the venue with a deep, romantic ambience for Northern California’s finest wedding industry members to gather and celebrate South Asian wedding style wrapped up into one beautiful book. Guests walked in to a beautifully lit front facade and interior by Avenue Illumination, then greeted with champagne and mesmerizing music by DJ Happy Grewal of Wicked Entertainment. Our cover model Camille graced us with her presence, looking extra stunning thanks to Valerie Yager, Kristina Rink Piccardo, Babita Amar and Neeta Desai Sharma, and wearing a gorgeous dress and stunning jewels by Dhillon & Co.

From there guests indulged in some delicious passed hors d’oeuvres courtesy of Wine Valley Catering and New Delhi Restaurant and got their cinematic style shots from Philippe Lee of Jade Studio Productions. Celebrations Party Rentals sponsored the use of props and furniture, The Oasis Bar & Grill graciously hosted a complimentary bar the entire evening while Winery SF hosted a delicious wine bar for everyone to indulge in before dancing the night away!

We partied with new and old friends, met a lot of wonderful people that night, but the highlight of the evening was meeting Sadaf Kherani, the book’s editor and getting to play a small part in sharing this book with future brides to use for all it’s daydreaming and planning potential!

Tina + Alex

Tina is a livewire.  Alex is quiet and reserved.  Together, they sparked a summer day at a unique estate nestled in the rolling hills of Mount Saint Diablo State Park. Accented with glorious DIY eye-candy from the bride, this outdoor hindu ceremony and ensuing pool-side celebration was a perfect reflection of this modern cross-cultural couple – understated, hip and irresistibly fun!

Here are the amazing vendors we had the pleasure of working with!

‘Adaa’ by Ashima Leena

Inspired by the ‘Zenana’ women, these dresses brought alive the glory of the old Awadh and Lukhnowi gharana! The gossamer thin silks, muted richness of layered gold brocades, tiny ‘ghungroos’ along the hemlines…all spoke of a time where the art of seduction was all about roving eyes and dancing feet. The Begum of Pataudi, erstwhile Bollywood actress Sharmila Tagore looked truly lovely!
